Bjarne O. Braastad is professor emeritus of ethology at Department of Animal and Aquacultural Sciences, Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Ås, Norway. In 1982 he established The Domestic Cat Union of Norway. In 2012 he published the Norwegian book "Katten. Atferd og velferd", on the domestic cat's behaviour, welfare and relationship with humans. In 2019, this book came out in a revised 2nd Edition. The book will be published in English probably during spring or summer 2022, at CABI Publishing, Wallingford, UK.
